In addition, Dr. Sloan completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in substance abuse treatment at the Universtity of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Sloan serves as adjunct faculty at the Health Science Center, where she provides psychotherapy supervision.

Dr. Sloan specializes in cognitive-behavioral treatment (CBT) for anxiety and panic disorders. The treatment corrects faulty beliefs and offers individualized plans for overcoming avoidance. Dr. Sloan also helps her patients explore past experiences and current relationships issues that interfere with their living satisfying lives.
