“I am a Certified Psychological Associate, registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. My theoretical framework is a cognitive behavioral style. Essentially, this means therapy involves taking a look at thinking patterns that are getting in the way of progress. Most people are unaware of their thinking patterns and how they influence our emotional state and behavior. Depending on the issue, therapy may involve changing this thinking pattern in a number of different ways. Clients adopt a new thinking style that is more adaptive, leading to healthier and happier lives.

Whether this is in interpersonal relationships, working relationships, or for one's own well being. You can imagine how this technique is useful for those with anxiety disorders and/or mood disorders. Additionally, I am trained in Level II EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Hypnosis.

I view both as another form of cognitive behavioral therapy as the goal is to change thinking patterns. My office is centrally located in Ottawa. There is free parking at the building and I offer evening appointments for your convenience.”
