Dr. Mary Kay O'Neil

“As a Registered Psychologist and a Training and Supervising Psychoanalyst I offer consultation, psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. My private practice with individuals and couples includes late adolescents, adults of all ages and genders. Professionally, I supervise and teach on the faculty of the Canadian Institute of Psychoanalysis. AS current ssociate Director of the Canadian Institute of Psychoanalysis (Quebec English)and a member of the Canadian Psychoanalytic Society (CPS) and the International Psychoanalytical Association (IPA)I am active on a number of committees, (e.g. CPS Curriculum Committee and the IPA Publications Committee).

For 11 Years, I have practiced in Montreal, prior to which I worked at the University of Toronto, Psychiatric Service. My work provides extensive experience in the treatment of depression, anxiety, relationship and developmental issues,and the inner pain related to emotional struggles. Women's autonomy is of particular interest.

Access to medical back up for patients requiring medication is readily available. My research and publications are primarily in the areas of depression and psycho-social factors: confidentiality; and psychotherapy ethics.”
